How Does Storm Trade Work?

Storm Trade is integrated into the Telegram ecosystem, allowing users to engage with the trading platform directly through the Telegram Web App (TWA). This integration eliminates the need for users to switch between platforms, making trading more convenient while utilizing Telegram's secure messaging infrastructure. The platform offers real-time notifications, access to the Telegram wallet, and rewards traders and liquidity providers, creating a dynamic and rewarding trading experience.

Storm Trade employs two main tokens: SLP and STORM. SLP is a liquidity provision token that is minted when a user adds liquidity to the platform and burned when liquidity is withdrawn. This token represents the liquidity provider’s share in the total vault, serving as the counterparty for trades on the platform. In return, the vault earns a portion of trading fees, liquidation penalties, and funding fees, which are distributed among SLP holders. STORM, on the other hand, is a deflationary utility token used to reduce trading fees, pay protocol fees, access exclusive community features, and reward active ambassadors. The dual-token system enables efficient liquidity management and incentivizes participation.

Social-Fi mechanics are a significant part of Storm Trade's offering. Traders can participate in NFT-based experiences, including earning unique avatars and contributing to squad-based trading tournaments. The platform's Market Makers NFT collection, comprising 5,555 unique 3D NFTs, was introduced as a way to gamify the user experience and provide early access to STORM token sales. Storm Trade's Founding Team

Storm Trade was co-founded by Denis Vasin, who serves as the lead developer for the project. Denis is an advocate for the integration of financial solutions within widely used social platforms, believing that TON (The Open Network) has the potential to bring about mass crypto adoption. The concept for Storm Trade originated during the first TON hackathon, where Denis presented a prototype for a perpetual decentralized exchange (DEX) on the TON blockchain. The prototype won second place, prompting Denis and his team to continue development with backing from the TONcoin Fund. Since launching on the TON mainnet, Storm Trade has experienced rapid growth, with daily trading volumes reaching between $5 million and $20 million within the first four months, and this volume continues to double each month.
