What Is Ramses (RAM) and How Does It Work?

Ramses (RAM) is the governance and incentive token of Ramses, a multichain decentralized exchange infrastructure project. Ramses supports trading and liquidity provision through concentrated-liquidity pools, dynamic fee settings, governance-directed emissions, and automated reward tools. Its live deployments include HyperEVM, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Robinhood Chain, while the Ramses X roadmap describes a broader multichain architecture.

At the trading layer, users swap assets through Ramses liquidity pools. Liquidity providers can place capital within selected price ranges, which is designed to improve capital efficiency compared with a simple evenly distributed pool. The protocol also uses dynamic fees that can adjust with market conditions. Its documentation describes permissioned MEV and cross-venue arbitrage infrastructure intended to retain eligible value within the protocol economy.

RAM connects token incentives with protocol participation. Users can convert RAM into xRAM, a non-transferable voting token. xRAM holders direct emissions toward gauged liquidity, earn swap fees from pools they vote for, and may receive vote incentives. The liquid-staking representation, hyperRAM, automates voting and compounds designated rewards under its documented mechanism.

When Did Ramses Launch?

Ramses began as a decentralized exchange deployment focused on Arbitrum and has since expanded its product and deployment footprint. The current official documentation presents Ramses X as the next phase: modular DeFi infrastructure with automation, fee-first deployments, and a planned coordinated token architecture across chains.

The protocol currently documents live Ramses DEX activity on HyperEVM and describes contracts across Arbitrum, Polygon, and Robinhood Chain. The planned Ethereum canonical RAM token and LayerZero OFT adapter remain in development. No production Ethereum canonical RAM address has been published, so users should treat any claim of an already-live Ethereum canonical token with caution.

Who Created RAM?

Ramses is developed and maintained by the Ramses team. Its current official documentation identifies Ramses team multisig and timelock contracts for certain deployments, providing an on-chain governance and administration reference.

Ramses Roadmap

Ramses X multichain architecture: Ramses plans an Ethereum canonical RAM token with LayerZero OFT connectivity so deployed chain representations can share supply accounting. This is a work in progress, not a completed production deployment.

Fee-first chain deployments: New deployments are designed to begin in fee-only or ungauged-liquidity mode. Governance activation and emissions are intended to follow published performance and consistency thresholds.

Automation through AutoVaults and liquid staking: AutoVaults aim to automate voting and reward conversion for xRAM stakers, while hyperRAM is designed to automate voting and compounding through a liquid-staked representation.

Liquidity and execution tooling: Ramses continues to focus on concentrated liquidity, dynamic fee logic, permissioned MEV infrastructure, and planned cross-venue execution integrations.

What Is the RAM Token Utility?

RAM is used to enter Ramses' governance and incentive system. The key path is RAM to xRAM conversion. Users who participate through xRAM can influence emission allocation and access documented fee and incentive mechanics, subject to protocol rules, smart-contract risk, and changing governance parameters.

1. Governance and emission direction: xRAM holders can vote weekly to direct emissions to gauged liquidity pools. This gives participants a role in deciding which pools receive incentive emissions.

2. Fee and vote-incentive participation: For gauged pools, the documentation states that swap fees are distributed to voters in proportion to their votes, together with any extra vote incentives offered for those pools. Results depend on trading activity, incentive programs, voting choices, and execution.

3. Conversion, redemption, and liquid staking: RAM can be converted to xRAM. xRAM supports a documented direct redemption route at a 1:0.5 ratio, while hyperRAM is a liquid-staking representation intended to automate voting and compounding. Each route has distinct liquidity, cooldown, and smart-contract considerations.

What Is Ramses Tokenomics?

Ramses' official documentation lists an initial RAM supply of 350,000,000 tokens. The tokenomics page also describes a weekly emission model: Epoch 0 begins with 7,000,000 RAM, Epoch 1 has a 12.5% decrease, Epoch 2 has a 15% decrease, and Epoch 3 onward uses a 1% decay per epoch unless governance intervenes.

The protocol describes elastic emissions of up to 25% higher or lower per epoch in response to protocol revenue and other documented conditions. It states that emissions are directed to gauges, with no team allocation within the emissions flow. Supply is also affected by RAM to xRAM conversions. The documentation states that 50% of RAM converted into xRAM is permanently burned, while the remaining 50% remains in the xRAM contract to support direct redemption at a 1:0.5 ratio.

These mechanics do not establish a fixed future circulating supply. Traders should monitor emissions, actual conversion activity, burns, active gauge settings, treasury decisions, and the rollout of planned cross-chain token infrastructure.

RAM Token Allocation

The official tokenomics documentation lists the following initial supply allocation:

45% to the Ramses Community: 157,500,000 RAM-equivalent allocation in xRAM.

30% to the Hyperliquid Community: 105,000,000 RAM-equivalent allocation in xRAM. This includes a 20% allocation for specified NFT and PiP airdrop recipients and 10% for incentives.

23% to the Treasury: 80,500,000 RAM-equivalent allocation in xRAM.

2% to protocol-owned liquidity: 7,000,000 RAM allocated as POL.

The documentation further breaks the Hyperliquid Community bucket into 3% for RXP and 7% for liquidity and vote incentives. Allocation percentages explain the initial distribution only. They do not replace ongoing review of treasury-wallet activity, governance decisions, emissions, liquidity conditions, or potential concentration among recipients.
