BlackRock files S-1 with SEC for iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF
BlackRock filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Jan. 23 for the iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said on Jan. 26. Fees and the ticker have not been disclosed, and the strategy seeks bitcoin price performance while generating premium income through active management, mainly by selling call options on IBIT shares and at times based on an ETP index. BlockBeats said the S-1 is the first step in SEC registration, adding that a 19b-4 rule change and a Nasdaq listing application may follow, with approvals required before the ETF can list and trade.
